Great question and the most popular, how much does Trimlight cost ?.  At Gator Trimlight, Pricing varies depending on the spacing of the diodes. Our standard residential installation is 12”, 9” or 6” spacing.  Our commercial product has similar spacing but is configured differently as the result is to attract attention from those passing by, not just beautify the structure.  Retail pricing starts at $26/linear foot, and goes up from there.  However, we are often running a promotion, or giving incentives to make the price as affordable as possible.  Additionally, Trimlight is very cost effective considering the system comes with a lifetime product warranty and will last for decades.

Our residential product has single clear LEDs that protrude from the color-matched channel attached to your home soffit.  The LEDs face downwards in order to cast the light straight down, and not outwards (thus making sure not to disturb your neighbors).  The resulting effect is individual LEDs glow like typical Christmas lights to the eye, while giving a nice color wash to the house facing.  The commercial product is a triple LED that is considerably brighter than our residential product.  It faces outwards towards the street and is meant to catch the eye and draw attention to the business.  Both products are hidden in our color-matched channel system that hides all wires and creates a clean and finished look to the system.

Trimlight comes with a lifetime product warranty and a 2-year labor warranty. Simply reach out to us and request to have the light replaced. Depending on the age of the installation, you may or may not be charged a minimal labor fee, but the faulty product will be covered under warranty.

The answer is sometimes, but not usually. If the glitch or fault occurs within the RGB components, then it will only affect that light. The light may turn a different color or shut off completely. If the glitch or fault occurs within the data wire of the affected light, it may affect all the lights after it in line. Either way it is a quick and simple repair.  Simply reach out to us and we will swap out the affected light which will correct any issue.

Trimlight comes with a Lifetime Product Warranty. The lifetime of Trimlight depends on how often it is being used. On average Trimlight will last between 20-30 years (assuming it is only used during nighttime hours). If Trimlight is constantly left on day and night, it will significantly reduce the lifetime of the lights.

Absolutely, the Trimlight app is designed to work with any iPhone or Android device. The app will also work with most Mac computer systems since they are app driven. It will not work with PCs, however.

Trimlight typically needs prior approval from HOAs. We have found Trimlight is widely accepted by most HOAs once a meeting has been established with committee leaders to show how the Trimlight system works; that it is hidden during the day, programmable for specific holidays and there are assurances that any repairs or maintenance issues will be resolved in a timely manner.

Typically, the Trimlight control box is mounted on an interior wall inside a garage or under a carport. The Trimlight system simply plugs into a regular outlet.

Trimlight uses exclusive LED technology which is extremely energy efficient. Each diode uses .6 watts of power which means most homes Trimlight systems use less energy than 1-2 light bulbs. Trimlight uses 1/10 the energy of incandescent lights and lasts 10 times longer.

Typically, LED diodes with lenses can become faded or damaged due to constant sun exposure over time. However, Trimlight’s residential lighting has no lens or covering, just the direct LED shows out of the channel, which means Trimlight LEDs will not fade, get cloudy or become discolored over time like many other exterior LEDs. Furthermore, Trimlight residential LEDs face down and below the channel which further protects them from constant sun exposure.

Trimlight is a permanent solution instead of what is commonly known as “regular Christmas lights”. Historically you’ve had to climb a ladder, use clips or nails to hang traditional bulbs on the home.  Worse, you had to climb back up once the season was over and remove, pack away and store them till next year.  No longer!  Now, we come out, install the LED lights in a color matched channel that’s connected underneath your homes overhang (soffit), and the lights live there permanently.  No more ladders.  No more storage. No more replacing broken lights year after year.  And most importantly, you can use them for many seasons, not just Christmas.

There is no wrong answer.  But we are seeing people use them for Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, St. Patty’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Armed Forces Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, your kid’s Birthday, College Football Saturday Nights, and every time your favorite sports team plays!  Oh, let’s not forgot Autism Awareness, Breast Cancer Awareness, and many many more.
